News Turn 13

Worlds Merged

It is apparent that the attempt to create a portal large enough for the human world and the Fae land of Tia N'Aill was successful: a great shudder was felt across all lands and a rippling effect was seen, as though the sky shattered and fell to earth. Tia N'Aill appears to have rolled out across the world: what this means for humanity and Fae alike is yet unsure, though it appears that owing to the heroic efforts of the Guardian of the Seelie, formerly known as Queen Samuel, humans and Fae are not at each other's throats - yet. How much of this is due to the apparent genocide of the Seol Eile by the Fae called Merlyn is unclear.

Boat Full of Evil sitting on the Solent

Please do not touch the large boat covered in evil. It will be dealt with shortly. Osmund, Lord Shipwright, promises so.

Rumours that Osmund requires several human sacrifices to get the thing moving are said to be exaggerated.

Dii Casses Bound

Reports from both Christian Priests and Pagan Druids agree: attacks on their pantheons by Dii Casses and her followers have ceased. Those who were in Rome recently report seeing a ceremony being performed by Wilfrida, Wolf Incarnate; Osmund, Lord Shipwright; Gavin, King of the Romans; and the newly raised Pope Celeste in order to bind the extent of the Goddess beyond the ken of this world.

Death of Wymond Payne, God of Shadow

A great hunt lead by the Wolf Incarnate, Wilfrida Hunter, roved across England calling for the head of Wymond Payne - foremost worshipper of Dii Casses. From those who saw the ensuing confrontation, Wymond killed himself before being reborn as a dark God of lightning and shadow. This was not to last though, as his relics were destroyed by Samuel of the Fens, wielding Excalibur, and the shadowy form itself was struck down by Maxim the Unstable.

Peasants' Revolt in full swing

Peasants all over the Guild are rising up, removing their old masters with force or threats. Much property is now in the hands of the serfs and those who are of noble blood - even those who are rich and free - are advised to be careful where they travel in Europe at present.

Thomas! Thomas! Thomas!

Requiem Aeternam dona ei, Domine.

Pope Peter II, formerly known as Thomas of Tynemouth has died.

Habemus Papam

Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum:
HABEMUS PAPAM!
Eminentissimam ac reverendissimam Dominam,
Domina Goda Sanctæ Romanæ Ecclesiæ Cardinalam Tirel,
Qui sibi nomen imposuit Celestam

Sede Vacante

Following a council involving the most senior cardinals, Pope Peter II has been declared to have been an anti-pope. His appointments have since been reversed, and his decrees declared invalid.

The Queen is Dead!

Our Queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, took the field against the Khan, and was killed. She leaves no obvious heir. Possible contenders are Joan the White Knight, daughter of the disgraced Geoffrey of Brittany, and Eleanor's own daughter, Eleanor of Castile, married currently to the Guardian of the Seelie (usually known as the Queen of the Fae).

Totatis calls for Peace Among the Ascendants

Apparently Totatis heard a really catchy song about peace and now thinks further representations should be made to the three main dissenting voices: the Lady of Light, the Forest, and Saint Boniface of the Inquisition.

Please would followers of Nantosuelta, Robor and Boniface consider their stance carefully. Now is the time for change.

Dythaem the Demiurge killed

It is with sadness that it is revealed that Dythaem was killed for crimes against a Saint. Saint Edith is said to be recovering in York Cathedral, guided and protected by her beloved Adela.

London and Paris Ghost Towns

The fae Merlyn enchanted the citizens of London and Paris, luring them to a place where he slaughtered them all. Who will rid the world of this menace?

Philip Runs Mad

With only the palace, the Abbey of St Denis, and Cathedral spared in Paris, it is said King Philip Augustus of France—still grieving for his beloved Geoffrey of Brittany—runs mad, shamed by Eleanor of Aquitaine's taking the battlefield in his place and his being unable to do anything about Merlyn's murder of his subjects. He runs through the streets in a hair shirt, calling out the names of the dead…

Oxford Emotion Trade Expands

The entrepreneurial Elizabeth has expanded her shop to new premises on the edge of Oxford. Word is that she has an even bigger selection on offer than before (and isn't it a lot friendlier than that old run-down shack she was operating from?).
