Lord Shipwright and Wilfrida have successfully conveyed the all-consuming darkness through to the Blessed Isles, despite a few setbacks and some local opposition.

Aelindis of the Marsh killed

Aelindis of the Marsh, the noted Demiurge of Trickery, the forger of Excalibur, lover of Arthur, She Who Cut The First Portal, the one who first called the Godstow meetings, has been killed, apparently battling a hob.

Godstow Abbey destroyed

As part of Aelindis's displeasure, Godstow Abbey has been destroyed. The next meeting will take place in the Great Hall of the Knights of St George and will be warded, in Aelindis's absence, by Lady Patience.

Hadrian's Wall Destroyed

The wall previously stretching across the English and Scottish borders was destroyed overnight, and strange lights have been seen across England ever since.

Peasant Rebellion Crushed, Leader Killed

In a large-scale fight near the Imperial capital of Aachen, Holy Roman Empire forces ambushed and broke the main forces of the peasant rebellion. In the chaos that followed the Glorious Leader and Commander General of the Rebellion, Marcus Karlson, became separated from his retreating forces. His body was recovered six weeks later by General Jamal, his son. It had seemingly been mauled by wild animals as he fled.

Whilst HRE forces have now largely mopped up the rebellious forces, General Jamal swears his father's ideals cannot be slain, and that ultimately he shall be avenged, and the people of Europe freed from their oppressive masters.

Holy Roman Saint-Emperor Gavin

News travels that the Holy Roman Emperor Gavin I has now ascended to join the ranks of the saints. He apparently rules his empire with an even hand, divorced from the petty conflicts that drive mortal men.

However detractors whisper of his predecessor, the immortal demiurge Etzun, and how he too made similar claims, only to drive the empire to near ruin in the end. Yet others suggest that they now all are forced to kneel and swear fealty to an immortal God-Emperor who shall rule for a thousand years.

Lord Shipwright Demonstrates Anger Through Medium of Falling Ships

The merchants guild, working hand in hand with the Peasants union, enjoyed a brief period of attempting to replace sea travel and long voyages with a network of portals, thanks to the mage Andris.

However Osmund, Lord Shipwright, has expressed his displeasure at this, citing mainly concerns about destroying the fabric of reality. He reinforced his views by somehow dropping still wet shipwrecks from the sky on the guild halls and other locations where portals were located.

Business for the venture has understandably now dried up.

Reynoldus of Lancaster Dies, Dii Casses Cast From This World

Reynoldus of Lancaster was last seen piloting a ship of Lord Shipwright's up into and through the heavens, bearing the relics of the Pagan menace Dii Casses unto whatever lies beyond our world. Through his sacrifice he has ensure that we need never again feel fear for our Gods and our Saints. He has made the choice that few would be able to make, and for that we thank him.

Papal Progress Brings Great Justice

Pope Celeste I has taken a grand progress through Europe, dispensing justice to Nobles, Clergy and Peasants alike in her wake. She has made it clear that disrupting the status quo is not approved of, but that all men should uphold the highest moral standards, especially where they rule over others. Her actions are credited with substantially decreasing support for the peasant's rebellion and issuing in a new Christian renaissance.

Reformed HRE Judicial Process Invokes Tiw

Saint-Emperor Gavin I has now instituted a reformed judicial system throughout his Empire. Scholars are chosen to be impartial judges, wearing to uphold the law before the eyes of Tiw. Much complaint has come from the noble classes now held to account, though many peasants are likewise punished for violating the laws of the land.

The new system is earning the HRE a reputation as a good place to live, and helping mend the cracks that led to the peasant rebellion.

Samuel Attaway Wanted

The Guardian of the Fae, Samuel Attaway, is wanted for Grand Treachery to the Holy Roman Emperor. He allegedly took up arms in support of the recent rebellion, and through his actions prolonged a war that led to the deaths of more people than Merlyn.

Whilst many agree that much of the blame is laid at the doors of Marcus Karlson and the behaviour of the lords in oppressing their peasants, the large sum of money offered in return for his capture is causing many to seek him out, though none have yet found him.

London's Burning

The London Forest caught fire several months ago and the fire spread quickly to the town as well. Merlyn's slaughter had ensured that there were none left to be claimed by the flames, but everything in the vicinity has now been reduced to a blackened wasteland.

The Caledonian Forest was set aflame shortly after, with the resulting inferno claiming the lives of many humans and fae. Some say that a mad wolf was seen running ahead of the fire, killing anything in its path and leaving the bodies to be consumed by the flames.

Pact of Aleyn Gains More Signatories

Nantosuelta and Robor have now both signed the Pact of Aleyn and joined the new combined Christian-Pagan pantheon. The only established god or saint who remains separate is St Bonniface. Those belonging to the recent spate of newly ascended remain unaccounted for, and no one seems to know if St Edith's signature still counts.

Valentine Wine

A new, blue wine has swept across Europe being sold by Valentina Envoy. Those who are of that persuasion and amount of knowledge claim that it is amongst the finest that they have ever tasted.

Emotions Run High in Oxford

The latest escapades of Elizabeth have seen to the opening of a new “Emotion Tavern” in which patrons can get their fix of intense emotion. The specialty here is a range of hand-mixed concoctions consisting of selections of different emotions that are guaranteed to make you feel feelings you've never felt before.
